Someday Letters

What are Someday Letters?
Someday Letters are a collection of letters that are submitted and posted anonymously on this blog.

These letters are posted on this page, and they allow the writer to communicate his/her emotions and thoughts into a letter that couldn't be sent (or never was). Even if the letter wasn't able to reach that particular person, that doesn't mean that it's lost forever. Since the internet is such a wide, vast place, I've designed this project in order to possibly increase the chances of these letters being read by its intended recipients. (Someday). This is a completely anonymous project.

How do I submit to Someday Letters?

You may email your letter to me at CometCatcher109@gmail.com. Confidentiality will be maintained, and I will only read through your letter in order to check that it is appropriate, doesn't include any personal information, controversial, or violent topics. However, that doesn't mean that you can't express your emotions in your letter, as long as you do so respectfully. :)

If you want to submit anonymously and would prefer not to disclose your email, I have set up an anonymous Gmail account for everyone to use. The email address is somedaylettersanonymous@gmail.com, and the password is anonymouspancakes123. I will be visiting this account frequently to check that it is being used for good purposes. I would like this account to be used for mailing anonymous letters only; if it is abused, I may have to delete it.

Do I have to submit my letter anonymously?

Nope! If you are sending a letter and you would like your name to be included, then go ahead! Please note the possible consequences that may come from you including or not including your name.

Here are some people that you could address your letter to:
  • Someone who has passed away. This is a big one. We all have people who pass away at least once in our lives. Unfortunately, other people may blame themselves for "not loving that person enough." Usually they wish that they could've talked to that one person more. If you do feel guilty about not talking to that person as much as you would have liked, then why not try writing them a letter? Maybe they will read it someday. c:
  • That person in the news you've heard about. It seems like there are a lot of people suffering in the world, and maybe writing a letter to them will help. They may not ever have the time to read it, but then again, someday, they might stumble across this page and read your letter.
  • Yourself. I know, that doesn't make any sense, but writing letters to yourself is great, as long as you respect yourself. Maybe you could write a letter of encouragement to yourself that says, "You can do it!" or "I'm proud of you." Someday, you'll probably read over it again.
  • The person you had that fight with. Humans fight all the time. That's in our nature. But what if you fought with your best friend, and then they had to move away? And you never got to see or speak to them again? Not only will writing a letter to them increase the chances of them someday reading it and seeing your side of the story, but it will also help you release any negative emotions you might have had for that one friend. In a way, you're forgiving yourself, and you're allowing yourself to move on. You're also respecting yourself.

All letters will be posted here. Please do not comment your letters on this page. If you would like your letter to be posted, please email me at CometCatcher109@gmail.com.

Thank you for reading!
